Research and Innovation

The implantation of technology and great scientific advances in medicine field has been a reality for decades. Without it, it would not have reached the quality standards we enjoy today.

Thus, from ANESTALIA we have in innovation the way to understand the patient safety culture and a work methodology for all the projects we undertake on the R+D+i department.

Thanks to a multidisciplinary team made up of anaesthesiologists, nurses and biomedical engineers we achieve disruptive solutions which provide innovative and creative solutions when preventing adverse events that could affect patient safety during the surgical process.

The abilities we have allow us to enhance value in the following lines:

Training and teaching

In the field of acedemic training, ANESTALIA collaborated with the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, the Universitat Pompeu i Fabra and the Universitat de Barcelona, among others with students of degrees, postgraduate and master’s degree.

Students of the degree in Biomedical Engineering. In agreement with the Polytechnic University of Catalunya.

Students of the Master of Anaesthesia Nursing. In agreement with the University of Barcelona and the Nursing School of the Sea, a center affiliated with the Pompeu i Fabra University.

Resident internal doctors, specialized in anaesthesia, in their rotation in the service for training in peripheral nerve blocks.

We are leaders in the training of anaesthesia nurses. The majority of our service professionals (anaesthesiologists, nurses, engineers) teach classes in the two anaesthesia nursing master’s degree offered in Barcelona.

The training of professionals is a basic pillar to develop skills and values that are needed to fulfill our mission.

ANESTALIA organized biweekly clinical sessions, where topics of current interest are reviewed, cases are discussed and communications are presented for Congresses o Courses.
